Busch Gardens

One of my closest friends from NH came down to visit with her boyfriend for the weekend. They vacationed in Orlando but was thrilled when they drove down to Tampa to see me. We met at Busch Gardens, and I was running late as usual.

I was so excited to see her as I hadn't seen her in over a little over a year. We went on every single roller coaster which was a total blast. I went on the SheiKra for the very first time. My sister had been on this when it had a floor, but she is a chicken and refuses to go on it now that they removed the floor from the coaster. Something about feet dangling freaks her out. I LOVED IT!! Becky's reaction was the best, because I had honestly forgot that the coaster stopped at the top for about 30 seconds. She was freaked and said "Oh my God, what's happening?!" I then had to reassure her that it was a planned stop. It had rained a bit, so I understand her concern, but it was pretty funny.

We also visited the tigers, and her boyfriend, Greg got to "play" tug-a-war with the tiger. That was fun to watch! You have to let them win and the trainers there explain everything to you, so the tiger will keep her interest.



At the end of the day, we walked around the "Edge of Africa" and saw the lions. Imagine our surprise when we walked around the enclosure and saw this:



This lioness was sitting on a jeep that was half in the enclosure and half out. People were sitting in the jeep and putting their face up to the windshield and she would try to attack them. Nice sturdy glass!

So we had a great time, I just wish I could have visited with Becky longer.
