December 23rd - December 24, 2009
Once again we had a whirlwind Christmas. It seems we only make it up to Jacksonville once a year to see J's grandmother and this trip to me, although super hectic is so worth it. Christmas Eve is Gram's birthday, she turned 85 this year. I know it means so much to her to spend time with her "great grands" as she calls them.
We managed to get the truck packed and leave for Jacksonville in the afternoon, but first we had to stop at my parents to drop off Khalua and J was to look at a computer that suddenly crashed. We visited for a bit, and then off to Jacksonville.
We spent all day with Gram on her birthday and went out and got her a small cake to surprise her.
After Gram's birthday celebration, we went on to celebrate Christmas. I started presents with the kids as Vaughn was anxious. I wish I had the first photo of him when he opened his first present. He was SO excited, the face was priceless!!
Vaughn was thrilled with every present he opened and made sure we saw everything he got. It was great watching the utter concentration on Kyra's face when she opened her gifts. I think afterwhile she just wanted to play and was tired of opening things. But considering she's only 1 1/2, she did a great job!
Justin gave me a present there and it was by far my most favorite present. He gave me the FLIP video camera - which honestly, if he didn't get it for me, I would have been so disappointed.
Kids were spoiled, made out like little bandits. We had a great time and such a great day and a late night. A wonderful time with family I will cherish forever.

Nice shirt you're wearing! Can't believe it's still hanging in there. I'm glad you got your flip. Christmas is always stressful, but you're right it's so nice to spend time with family and these are memories you'll have forever.
