I should have stayed in bed...

No scrapping got done this weekend. I am feeling depressed and disappointed that Christmas is getting nearer and I haven't a lot of money or time to get things done. My mom's birthday is this Sunday and I have no idea what to do for her and it is a milestone birthday so I want to do something nice other than show up.

So this past Friday, my son tried to kill himself and me with heart failure. We are leaving daycare and head to my truck as always. I am about to open the door to put him in his car seat and he decides to take off. He runs behind my truck and behind other cars, which of course the one next to me is in reverse. I RUN after him and the poor woman driving the car stops and I'm sure I scared her half to death too. He did not get hit thankfully, but that is because he swerved me and thought we were playing. I snatched him up and he got a talking to but he is only 2 and just does not understand yet that cars will hurt him or kill him. I will now have to carry his heavy butt to the truck to make sure he is safe and sound.

Then on Saturday my sister and I attempted to have a garage sale at my house. Here I should have said FORGET IT and tried next year. Heather was supposed to be at my house early with the tables so we could set up and put out the signs. Well she woke up late and didn't get to my house until almost 10 after dropping my nephew off to study with his non-girl girlfriend. We get everything set up and have very few visitors. Well, one visitor we had was looking at clothes. She started looking at a dress blazer that Justin had left outside in the garage so I snatched it up, politely told her it was not for sale and ran it into the house. I put it on the counter to run back outside. Well I put the coat too close to a lit candle and the jacket eventually caught fire. Justin was in the house and so was Vaughn. Heather & I were at the end of the garage toward the street when I heard this beeping that sounded like it was coming from inside the house. So we start toward the door and I'm just about to go in when Justin comes out with his blazer on fire and his lunchbox. Thankfully that is all that went up in smoke and my kitchen didn't get harmed. He lost his blazer, a tie that was in the pocket and his lunchbox. I lost nothing. He says it was a conspiracy to get rid of him. He was a good sport considering I accidentally almost burned our house down.

That night was my company Christmas Party and I went solo. Which was good for me because I didn't have to hear Justin complain about when we were leaving. That was a great time and I think I looked decent. I don't have any pictures of myself but I know someone took one that I am hoping to get my hands on.

Yesterday I slept most of the day, I was just wiped out. I worked on my grandmother's Christmas present but I have to print out some pictures. Her present is adding pages to the scrapbook I started for her in 2004. It would be easier to just add pictures of my son, but I am trying to give her OLD pictures of the "original" grandchildren and then try to go up chronologically. That is hard to do since my parents didn't take a lot of photos of us as we got older. Gonna have to improvise!

So that is my claim to fame for the weekend. I am hoping to crank out some projects this week after Vaughn goes to bed. And maybe I will be able to post some pics to my computer so I can actually upload all the work I did complete recently. Wish me luck!
