Little Indian and Santa

November 26, 2008

Here is Vaughn and the little Indian hat he crafted (with much assistance) at daycare. He was so proud of it he wanted to wear it there the next day, but I felt it would be best if he left it at home.

I took the kids to see Santa tonight. I was curious as to how Vaughn was going to be because when I think he will be fine with something, he freaks out. When I think he will freak out he will be fine. I knew Kyra would be fine because she doesn't have strangeritis yet.

We got to the mall at 5:30 but Santa was having a break. So I tortured him at the Disney store while we waited a half hour. We got there right at 6:00 for when Santa returned and no sooner had Santa sat down had Vaughn run right up to him and started talking his ear off! It was really precious.

You are not supposed to take your own pictures because they want to make money with THEIR pictures. However, we were there FOREVER because either Vaughn wouldn't sit still, Kyra wasn't looking or more like she was moving so I started snapping my own. I only did a few because I didn't want to get kicked out of there. I did purchase one set of theirs, but their pictures come out way too dark.

I love the daycare projects, especially the hats they make. This is the first year since Nathan was born that we haven't brought the kids to see Santa. It's really my thing, I like to take them. That's great that Vaughn was comfortable and talking to him.
