Easter Sunday

It was a nice Easter Sunday with my parents, sister and her family. Unfortunately, due to school obligations, Justin was unable to attend, so it was just me and Vaughn.

The "Easter Bunny" gave Vaughn toys this year for Easter, as there would be candy later in the day. I should have let him have the basket AFTER he had breakfast but I didn't. He saw that Buzz Lightyear which he calls "Buzz Year" and didn't let it go until much later in the day. He didn't want to eat until 11:30 a.m. which is very late for him.

Heather & I discussed having an Easter Egg hunt for the kids at the parentals place. This would be the first one Vaughn has participated in and he had such a good time. At first he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, but he caught on real quick! We hid 60 eggs which worked out to 20 per kid, but Eric & Rachel assumed that the ones that were on the ground were for Vaughn so they had left them alone, until they were informed otherwise. So Vaughn ended up getting 22 eggs and Rachel and Eric only got 19 each. Not that it really mattered, they all had fun.

Mom made ham for Easter lunch and at first Vaughn said he didn't want any, but in the end Grandmama ended up sharing most of her plate with him. I thought for awhile he had a tape worm he ate so much!

I tried laying him down for a nap but he just laid there and played with Buzz Lightyear the entire time. I gave up and let him get out of bed. Needless to say that by the time we left he was exhausted. He was asleep 10 minutes after we got on the road and slept for almost the entire trip home. I thought for sure he would be asleep all the way home and then sleep all night. He sure fooled me!

In other news, I finally got my laptop back but I still have to re-install everything and reconfigure the network so I can finally get on the internet at home. YIPEE!! I might actually get some scrapbooking done!!

I also received good news earlier in the week. I passed my 2nd sugar test which is great. This means I don't have Gestational Diabetes and I can eat whatever I want (of course, within reason). I was worried because I know I started off weighing more at the beginning of this pregnancy than with Vaughn. And for my frame, I was considered overweight, which can be a factor of whether or not you develop it or not. So to say I was relieved would be an understatement.
