Had a nice weekend this past weekend. Started off with a nice online chat with the Whores. My sweet whore friend Jen helped with a LO I have almost finished. I never got back to it past Friday evening. I need to finish the 2nd page and then I'll post it. I am annoyed because I've spent more than an hour just trying to use my Cricut for the title and welding the letters. Got it all arranged, etc. and my mat is so not sticky anymore that the paper shifted on the mat. I have now given up. I would love to go to Walmart to go get small mats for the evening, but SOMEBODY isn't home and clearly the dog can't babysit so it will have to wait until tomorow. *Sigh*
Saturday morning I took Vaughn to the park. He had a good time. We only stayed an hour and a half, but he really took advantage of the time he had there. I must say he surprised and amused me when we got there, because the entire ride over there he was playing with his "Buzz Year" and "Bad Guy" then when I pull into the parking lot he sees the playground and those toys hit the floor so fast! He immediately tells me he wants to go on the slide and I haven't even put the truck in park yet!
Once the truck is parked and we get into the play area, the slide is the first thing he does, but then he doesn't do it again of his own volition the entire time. He was more fasinated with going up and down the stairs of the slide area than sliding down. Had I been thinking, I would have taken a picture of that, but I'll get it next time.
I convinced him to go to the swing area with me, where he met a little girl, probably about 5, named Catherine. She was quite chatty and told me her name, her brother's name, and her mom's name (who wasn't there). She never told me her Dad's name who had taken them both to the park. Vaughn pushed me on the swing and then I got him on and pushed him a bit. He liked that for a little while, but didn't let me stop him before he decided he wanted to get down. Just a little impatient, can't imagine where he gets that from!

He then spotted a tennis ball and he played catch with Catherine and they just played together for probably a half hour.

He didn't want to leave but Mommy was getting hungry and I know he was getting tired so we went home for some lunch and a much needed nap.
Sunday was nice as my sister stopped by for an unexpected visit. She had some time to kill before picking up Eric so we played a train game until she had to leave. Which was too bad because we ended up calling the game instead of being able to finish it. I won by default but I would have like to have just beat her "officially". I don't think I've won one of those games yet playing against her which I intend to remedy quite soon!
