Today Marcia had to work so Heather and her kids came down to Marcia's house. Heather and I left the kids and we went to the Mall of New Hampshire. I hadn't been there in what seems like forever, let alone go to the mall without children. I was in HEAVEN!!
My dear friend Dan met up with us for lunch and of course, I had D'Angelos. I love that place and we don't have them in Florida so I always have to have at least one or two Bacon, Lettuce and pickle pita pocket.
I found some great buys shopping for myself and the kids and Heather and I had a blast shopping.
Once we got back into town, Heather, Eric, Rachel and I played a game before they left to go back to Meredith.
Once Marcia got home, it was time to get down to business!! It is tradition that we make a chocolate frosted marble cake. It is our favorite and one of our birthday's have gone by so we must have cake together.
Marcia got started on the cake and I went and checked on the kids. Once upstairs, Nathan was teaching Vaughn how to play a memory game and Kyra was quietly watching them.

It was so great that Nathan was helping Vaughn with counting up his matches. Nathan of course won, but I was proud that Vaughn didn't get upset and was just happy to play the game.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Nicky was partaking in contraband!!! He had assisted in mixing in the marble into the cake. He did ask to have a piece of cake once it was baked, but Marcia had said no. Sugar is not permitted during the week.

Once the kids were put to bed it was time to have birthdays!! Marcia's birthday is first so she opened her gift first. It was hilarious that the first gift she picked up was 12x12 size so she asked her husband if he knew what it was, and he did! Not exactly what was inside, but he got the paper part.

I also gave Marcia some Cricut Cartridges that she had on her wish list. I knew she wouldn't have any idea I was getting her any of those!! I love how happy she looked when she opened them.

Marcia gave me some of my true favorite scrap supplies ever...THICKERS!! It doesn't even matter if I have the ones she gave me (which I don't think I do), I just love them so.
She also gave me some neat scrap accessories, letters, stamps, and a laser cut for Knotts Berry Farm (which we'll use in a future scrap project).
Happy Birthday to US!!

Nicholas - eating sugar during the week. Bad Boy. LOL. Mmm....cake. I hope you're prepared for Memorial Day!! I'm not prepared for birthdays, but that doesn't mean we can't have cake. That also doesn't mean I can't shop between now and then. :) Do you really think you can come back up here this summer? I saw that comment on my blog. I love my Cricut cartridges and I hope you loved everything I got you too. I love to spoil you. :)
