Happy 4th!

My friend Kristy and I had talked earlier in the week and she mentioned that depending on the weather, she may have a get-together at her house. We did this last year too and it was a great time (but we always have fun with Kristy and her family).

Party is on so we all go over to her place. As predicted, it was a great time with friends old and new.

Which one doesn't belong in this picture?? LOL

Vaughn loved playing with Alex and he also liked playing with the Rock Band guitar. I think I have a future musician on my hand but I'm not sure which instrument he likes more as he had the guitar and the drum sticks in his hand at any given moment. Kyra too liked the drum sticks and we KNOW she likes music so maybe we will have a little duo when they get older.

Justin took this picture and it is one of my favorites of him.

Here is our friend Roma who is just so sweet and really loves my kids. She keeps asking me when she's going to babysit, really need to take her up on that!

As it got darker, the neighborhood fireworks started going off, also the Busch Gardens fireworks. Kristy doesn't live too far from there, so if we try we can see that fireworks show too. We let Vaughn hold a sparkler for the first time, I was a little nervous but trusted Justin to give Vaughn great instruction and a watchful eye.

He was so funny because when the sparkler went out, he would take it to the driveway, drop it and then stomp on it. He would then look at me and say "Mommy, I killed it!" as if it were a bug or something. He was very proud of himself.

We had more driveway fireworks at the end of the night.

This was such a fun day, and Vaughn told me on the way home,

"Mommy"
me, "What?"
Vaughn, "I had a great day."

It was so sweet how he said it, I teared up. He is such a little sweetheart!

That's so funny about the sparklers and Vaughn killing it. You really do need to take Roma up on the offer to watch your kids...like on Sunday!! Glad you had a great day.
