Today was the first time I have ever taken either child to the beach. We met at Misty's house and then took the kids to the beach. I bought beach toys for Vaughn and Kyra for the occasion.
I loved to see Vaughn's excitement about being there. He wasn't too thrilled about going to the water, and he absolutely refused to take off his shirt. I thought he would be hot, but he never complained.
Eventually, we got hot and of course, we couldn't leave him at our towels so we got him to come near the water, and then we had a hard time getting him to come back to the towels!
We only stayed about an hour and a half but we had a great time. I told Misty we need to go at least once a month! Vaughn still asks me when we are going to the beach.

It always seems like such a production to get everything together or to find a time when you don't already have something planned, but it's so worth it. Good times, good memories and great scrapbooking photos!
