April 2009
Kyra officially took her first two unassisted steps on March 23rd, but no matter how hard I tried, she didn't take anymore until approximately the beginning of April. I was able to get Justin to get her on video taking a few steps to me.
She gradually took little steps here and there, but I had a feeling that once I sent her to my Mom & Dad's she would really start walking more. I was right. While she was there, she would use this table my Mom keeps by the couch as a walker. Mom tried to discourage this, but she would not be deterred. She even showed me she could do it when I went to pick her up on April 27th.
Since then, all she does is walk around the house. I used to keep her in "baby prison" a playpen that kept her safe from all of our stuff. She is definitely not having anymore of that!

Your place must seem so much bigger without baby prison! That's funny her using that table as a walker. Your little girl is growing up.
