Happy Birthday Vaughn!

August 2nd

My sweet little boy turns 3!! We had a nice quiet, private birthday party for him as a family. After his nap I had him play in his room so I could get his birthday presents and "cake" ready for him when he came downstairs. Vaughn really does not eat cake, at least not here with us. Daycare says he eats cake, but I still think he only likes the frosting. So, with that being said, I got him cupcakes. Easier to manage and a LOT less waste.



So we brought him downstairs and he was excited to see "cake" and his spiderman balloon. We told him it was his birthday and he needed to blow out his candle, which he was more than happy to do.



Time for gifts! He now loves opening presents. We gave him a car, a spiderman action figure, a batman action figure, and batman pjs. He talks about spiderman and batman all the time so these gifts were perfect. He couldn't wait for us to take them out of the package so he could play with them.






After dinner, we gave him a cupcake. I think he was more excited about the ring it came with than the cupcake itself.




Time for bed, which we had to wear our new batman pjs and take our new action figures to bed. Just too cute!
