Ok, this was too important to just blog about it in the July update. Justin's grandmother lives in Jacksonville, which is almost 3 hours away from where we live. Since Justin has not had a schedule that would have been condusive to going up there for the weekend so she could meet Kyra. I have felt terrible that we haven't been up to visit in more than a year. I really hope Justin & I can make more time to go visit her so the kids can get to know her. She is a wonderful woman, everyone who knows her thinks she is a saint and she is.
So having said all that, she rode down to Tampa from Jacksonville on a bus!! I am assuming it was a tour bus as it was destined for the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe and Casino. Justin's Dad picked her up from the Hard Rock and drove her to the Outback Steakhouse in Brandon where we all met for lunch.
This was such a special visit because she went to so much effort to see everyone. We love her and I can't wait until we see her again. I'm really hoping it will be before or on her birthday in December.

What a cute picture of her and Vaughn wearing her necklace! It's so nice to have family near. Sometimes it's hard to make schedules work, but it's always worth the effort.
