Birthday Party!

Kyra's friend Madelyn had her birthday party today at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor. We really like this park because it has a playground for the older kids and one for the little kids in a separate area. We got there a little late due to longer than planned naps, but we got there just in time to witness MK open her gifts.


Vaughn was very good and watched from a reasonable distance and was very polite and not overly excited (as I would have expected him to be). He was quite patient as he had really wanted to play with MK. Much to his disappointment she wanted to do her own thing but managed to find solace in the playground offerings.


Madelyn is MUCH taller than Kyra so she has a longer reach, but that didn't stop Kyra from trying to climb like she did. Momma Misty helped her out for the climb.


A real surprise was seeing Nicholas at MK's party. We had first met Nicholas at Kyra's daycare and she seemed to be sweet on him, and he on her. Once Nicholas moved to the 1-year old room, his parents were no longer happy with the care he was receiving so he went to where MK goes. It was so great to see him at her party so we could catch up.


Vaughn really enjoyed the favors he received for being a party guest. How can you go wrong with these very cool sunglasses, crayons, bubbles and mini-Frisbees??
