Yikes!! My niece has officially turned 13, how bittersweet. I remember getting the phone call back in 1997 from my Mom telling me Heather had a girl! I was in my dorm room listening to Here's Your Sign, laughing hysterically. Now here we are 13 years later...
What I love about this picture is that Eric looks so pissed. I have no idea why he decided he doesn't like pictures. I sincerely hope this is a phase and he'll grow out of it. 
Rachel had a mini-party with her friends earlier in the day so I missed her blowing out birthday candles. I'm sure she doesn't mind that I don't have pictures of that, but at some point I will snag some from Heather!

I love the detail about how you remember getting the call from your Mom. Nice card and I know you said she loves the hair straightener you got her. What a good Auntie!
