Nick Retires

Nick, my former boss, retired at the end of 2009. He was very resistant to having a retirement party, but the company was adamant on making sure he had one. Nick does not like to have a fuss made over him, doesn't want people wanting to do things for him or buy him presents. He is very humble and such a pain in the butt (said with much affection).

Tonight was the big retirement party and it was so great. We had a lot of clients show up, along with former and present employees.


Nick and Terry both now former bosses of mine.

I hear he was so stressed out the whole day about the event but once he was there, he was very happy it wasn't as "big" as he had envisioned. He had a great time and I think the rest of us did too.

He keeps threatening to come in the office more, but since retirement he hasn't been here as much as I thought he would be - hopefully we will find him some work to do!
