I have once again embarked on my family history journey. I have always been curious to know where my ancestors immigrated from and where my family's roots take me. I should have been more involved/curious when my relatives were alive, but I always assumed I would have time.
Once my Nana passed away, I inherited most of her photos. Unfortunately, only a few are written on the back as to who they are and the date. This is sad to me because I want to know why was this picture important, who is this and when, what's the story behind the photo?
My Uncle Ken is my best resource to the Hall Family tree and roots. He is the only living relative on my Grandpa Hall's side that (I know) would know anything, as he is my Grandpa Hall's half-brother. I was very fortunate to find out that he is what we Floridians call a "snow bird" and he is living here in Englewood for the winter. I promptly called him up and made arrangements for Dad & I to drive down to see him so maybe he could help me with at least the who's of the pictures.
I was so happy, it was euphoria. We spent 4 hours with Uncle Ken and Marion going through photos and he identified about 80% of them. Even some of the people from Nana's side of the family.
Marion knew some of the people in the photos too as she grew up in Henniker and was friends with many people in our family.
Four generations of the Hall Family
I have great memories of visiting Uncle Ken and Aunt Shirley when I was a kid. One of my favorites is when we had a HUGE Hall family reunion party at Uncle Ken's house and he would take all the kids for a ride on his tractor. We must have pestered him relentlessly and he was more than happy to accommodate each and every one of us.
I love my family .

This is the PERFECT story to convince people to journal in their scrapbooks. They always say they'll remember or their kids will remember, but what about after them? I'm glad you were able to figure out the mystery. Now what will you do with the information?
